Content Notes: I cheated a bit and made Natasha's hair its normal red, but the rest is black / white, so hopefully it works! It was definitely fun to get out of my comfort zone a bit. I wish I went a little bolder and used flats instead of smushy shading. The inability to play with the saturation was also a little frustrating to me -- guess that's something I'm used to being able to toggle! Next time I think I'd like to try something like 4-5 colors on the same gradient but maybe more/less saturated in addition to darker.

Spoiler Warning for Avengers Endgame, which I have a lot of saltiness for.

Content Notes: Gouache painting (Payne's Grey and white). Okay, so a huge contrast here, because I felt kind of sorry for Bucky that my initial drawing was pretty crappy. I did that one in 2017 for my first Drawesome challege (a squiggle challenge), and you can't really compare them as I've used different mediums, being on a gouache kick right now, and I took a lot longer with this painting than the initial quick drawing. But, yeah, it's a makeover using the same reference, and since the old pic was the first thing I'd drawn in way too many years, it's nice to know that I've gotten better at likenesses over the past 3 years. Anyway, this was fun.

drawesome's Challenge #19: 10 Minutes for 10 Days. These were all drawn in my daily planner using pencil, pen, markers and coloured pencils.

The majority of them took way more than 10 minutes, some up to even 2 hours. For this challenge, I focused on practicing different drawing styles, and trying to develop a consistent routine to draw something around the same time at the end of each day, so didn't give myself a time limit.

Content Notes: I used one of the pens I got in my March scrawlrbox which I had previously ignored because I didn't really know what to do with it. Turns out it is a lot of fun to use because you can never quite control what colour will come out (it has yellow, blue and red). Clint I did with a tinted graphite pen (I got that one in the last box) in aubergine. I couldn't resist adding Geoffrey too, especially as I'm watching season 3 of Slings&Arrows where he starts therapy because of his unconctrollable bursts of crying. Well, and because he's Geoffrey - irresistable.
Okay and for those who don't know, Diefenbaker is deaf, Turnbull is 'eccentric' to say the least (there isn't an official diagnosis on the show apart from 'his brain resembles Swiss cheese'), Geoffrey's whole story circles around his past big nervous breakdown in season 1 (and I'm still waiting for the final season to find out if ( spoiler )) and Clint is 80% deaf in the comics.
