I colored one of my inkings from last week. I also made two sketches and inked both sketches two different ways.

I colored this with copics even though this wasn't marker paper. That it's not marker paper shows a bit.

Flight prompt with Tony Stark and Stephen Strange.

On the left I used a Sakura Pigma PN, on the right a Sakura Pigma Brush Pen. The lack of control with the brush pen was frustrating, but but results felt less still and more solid.

Deep prompt with Doctor Strange transformed to look for artifacts underwater.

On the left I inked using technical pens and on the right I used a dip pen. I really thought the dip pen would give a better result, but the technical pens win. Hopefully, with more practice I can do better with the dip pen.

I've found technical pens to be frustrating, expensive and fragile. I've found dip pens to be easy, pleasant and very affordable. Part of why I like dip pens is that the part you hold had no purpose except to be held. It's more ergonomic and balanced than any other pen I've tried.

I could ramble on about these different types, or about using a lightbox to do inking, if people are interested.
