It's just slightly after the last day of May, oops (Goss has neen super-busy and I didn’t notice, sorry). But it’s never too late, so we'd love to have you check in and chat with us.
How have things been with you this past month? Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in May, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

Finally finished watching the amazing Canadian show Slings&Arrows and promptly did a tiny picspam, sketches and some graphics.
There was one piece of original art when I was feeling down due to some family drama.
Then I did two last minute entries to the Mermay challenge with my newly arrived Scrawlrbox supplies: Mermay Geoffrey (from teh aforementioned Slings&Arrows) and a Due South Mer-AU Mer Ray and Fraser

Date: 2018-06-03 06:25 pm (UTC)In artistic news, I've been drawing quite a few of the prompts from drawing-prompt-s on Tumblr. I plan to post a bunch across this coming week, since this coming week I start an interim job! ... I guess that's also personal news.
OH, and remember my Poetry Month project? I put the cards leftover from Poem In Your Pocket Day in my Interview Folder to pull. out when the interviewers asked me "so what do you do outside work", and when I brought the cards out I briefly explained the project and how people are souls as well as bodies and in medicine we need to care for both. I think that helped get me this job. *beams*
This hasn't been. an easy month but it's been a worthwhile month, and art has been a large part of that. I'm so glad I'm part of this artistic community here!

Date: 2018-06-08 07:19 am (UTC)Don‘t get discouraged, I do this all the time too. It‘s the only way to push yourself and learn new things, even if they are unfinished. You can get back to them later.

Date: 2018-06-03 09:11 pm (UTC)This month I wrote a lot, but I have done almost zero drawing appart for some doodles in one of my sketchbooks... However June should be much more busy, and not only because I have started house-hunting, which is very time consuming! :)
- I started my entry for a french small-fandom exchange, I think I'll do at least an art piece,
- I'll work on my Ravage piece (and finish the fic that goes with it)
- I signed-up as an artist for the Murder-Husbands Big-Bang
- I hope to finish my Jaws of the Railsea illustration
And yesterday I started a 32h long course in screen printing, it will take up all my week-end afternoons for the month. The lessons are with an experienced silk-printing artist and it has already been very enriching! For now we have done low-detail techniques and this week I plan to buy masking fluid and a silk-screen to start training on my masking brushwork... and I'll try to design something simple but cool looking to train on, rather that pick some design online.

Date: 2018-06-08 10:12 am (UTC)I got a silk-screen and some sealer gum to start training and yesterday I tried adapting one of my inktober drawing into something doable with this specific silk-printing technique... It's not that easy! :D I'll try to finish the design today. :)

Date: 2018-06-04 02:44 am (UTC)- art for the CAP RBB story You're the Moon that Breaks the Night (werewolf AU)
- art for the CAP RBB story Nomad (rock band AU)
- Mermay SGA art Entwined
- also posted some quirky SGA art postcards to my DW journal here - working my way through some prompts in my 642 Things to Draw book of postcards.
- I posted a couple of shorter SGA stories to AO3 as well. My main frustration is the need to finish the longer CAP RBB story asap before the deadline, so I can get back to other projects.
