I had a nifty conversation with a couple of other artists of color about the default of White people and not drawing our own groups that often. But/and I felt inspired to fulfil the spirit of the challenge by drawing someone of an ethnicity I don't draw that often, and to show the influence of ukiyo-e on my art (ahahahah that sounds so pretentious)

Since the poetess is actually deceased I will emulate a cat and pretend this was on purpose. :) Seriously, though, thank you. I'll remember for next time.
