I rather fancy some of the Noldor with features of Indigenous Americans. While I was in New Mexico I got to know some gorgeous people (inside and out) who have inspired my Tesuque Pueblo Celebrimbor.

Oh wow, this is BEAUTIFUL! I am so drawn to his expression, and the way the blue glow bits contrast with the rest of the piece - very pretty! <3 I only know the character of Celebrimbor from the recent tv show, and really like the way you've added all the little details of his elven-made accesssories.

I've only just started learning how to use digital media, and I love how you've achieved that wonderful painterly effect. :)

I'm really loving the amazing possibilities of digital painting with all the great brushes that they have now, and I like messy/ rough strokes because it hides imperfections!

I use Kyles brushes in PS, and I'm happy to share which are my favourites for this style of painting with you.

I've started with a free app called Adobe Fresco, which has two basic brush sets available - watercolour and oils. I have only just started playing around with the watercolour brushes, but seeing how lovely your work is, it's giving me encouragement to try branching out and experimenting with the textured effect of using the oils. :)

I haven't used Fresco but had a quick squizz at a comparison, and the 'live brush' feature sounds very nice, which is not in PS. However apparently brushes aren't customisable, and I fiddle quite a lot with my brush settings and most of the ones I use most are customised. I also use masking and layering a LOT. (Hmm, maybe I should say overuse - I sometimes just have a few strokes on a layer so I can come back and fiddle and move and change colour, and I end up with <*checks file*> 87 layers for this one!

Kyle has some very useful tuts on YouTube for both Fresco and PS (some of the principles are the same) and also in Creative Cloud and Adobe Live channels.

Have fun experimenting!
