Hi everyone - just a brief resource and discussion post about tagging our posts. As you know we recently introduced artist tags, and we have challenge and fandom tags as well. I wanted to explain how I go about adding tags, as it's not quite so easy in Dreamwidth to do that - but that may just be me doing it wrong, so comments are welcome!
I haven't been able to find an interface/device that will show me all the available tags for the
drawesome comm at the time that I'm writing a new post - say, when I'm posting an artwork. Mobile interfaces are no good for that (IOS or Android pads etc), but even a normal PC interface doesn't let me access a drop-down list of tags so as to select the ones I want. If I can remember them perfectly and I write them in just right (and the tags are already in the system) then they will show up, but I usually can't manage that.
So what I do is finish and post the post, then I hit "edit tags" for the new post and hey presto - a drop-down list appears. I then select multiple tags, as appropriate, by holding down "control" on my HP laptop while I add them.
goss and I can add new tags to the comm just by typing these in, and we will see your posts pretty soon and will add any tags if needed - for a new fandom or a new artist. After that, those tags will be in there for everyone to use.
So that's how I do it and it's pretty quick and easy. Let me know if you've found any other or a better way to do tagging!

Ah - I just saw the screencap. No, I don't see that at all - it looks completely different on my system:
