Challenge #28 - Makeover

Content Notes: Gouache painting (Payne's Grey and white). Okay, so a huge contrast here, because I felt kind of sorry for Bucky that my initial drawing was pretty crappy. I did that one in 2017 for my first Drawesome challege (a squiggle challenge), and you can't really compare them as I've used different mediums, being on a gouache kick right now, and I took a lot longer with this painting than the initial quick drawing. But, yeah, it's a makeover using the same reference, and since the old pic was the first thing I'd drawn in way too many years, it's nice to know that I've gotten better at likenesses over the past 3 years. Anyway, this was fun.

I'm loving seeing people's re-dos, so interesting! Those are both quite different, and I actually really like the original one because I love that woodcut style. But the new one is also cool - you are managing your gouache wonderfully well!

Thanks! I'm enjoying the gouache, in fact I might even like it better than transparent watercolours. I have a set of the popular (and cheap!) Himi/Miya brand coming soon. More colours!
