Title: Day 22 - Overgrown

Content Notes: Created for Day 22 of the Drawtober 2020 Challenge. The prompt was Overgrown. This was painted with a chinese calligraphy brush and ink stick. And then I added a colour tint in Photoshop. Both versions are included here. I thought Lan Xichen's robes would make a cool sort of cascading waterfall, so this was my attempt to create a forested, mountainous landscape with ink. :)

Content Notes: I am surprised that I could draw this within a day what with all the new workload but yay!!!:D When I saw the prompt for Day 20 I just had to draw Lan Wangji in the rain scene in the drama but I wanted to draw him using the animated style so it's a bit of both!XD Aaaand my use of blue strikes again.

Content Notes: Created for Day 20 of the Drawtober 2020 Challenge. The prompt was Wet. So I decided to do that scene with Lan Wangji in the rain. I found this really fun paint pouring tutorial of a happy kid splashing in the rain. But I went and made it all sad. :b This was painted with blue watercolours. I kept it kind of impressionistic throughout and I think it works overall. :)

Title: Day 13 - Flight

Content Notes: Created for Day 13 of the Drawtober 2020 Challenge. The prompt was Flight. I used blue watercolours over masking fluid, then black ink for the dragon, and white ink for framing of the Gusu Lan Sect symbol.

So I read this Untamed AU fic about 2 weeks ago, called A Shadow in the Sun by

netrixie, where the Gusu Lan Sect cultivators are reclusive dragons. I absolutely fell in love with the concept, and the visual of dragons as these dark shadows, soaring high up in the clouds and controlling the elements. This piece was the result. ^___^

Content Notes: Created for Day 12 of the Drawtober 2020 Challenge. The prompt was Scattered, and I took that as my cue to try some Stippling, using a variety of coloured ink pens to scatter like a million dots on this page. :b This is the Yunmeng Jiang Sect logo, with the tassel that was given to Wei Wuxian after the complete massacre and near destruction of the entire Sect.

Title: Day 6 - Crane

Content Notes: Created for Day 6 of the Drawtober 2020 Challenge. The prompt was Crane, and I decided to go the Verb route, as in to stretch one's neck. The profile belongs to my current favourite: Wang Yibo. :D

The left side of the profile is wet-on-wet black Chinese calligraphy ink splatter, and the right is watery vermilion ink more carefully applied with a fine tip watercolour brush. I mixed in a dash of the black ink with the vermilion to darken and tone down some areas.

Content Notes: Created for Day 2 of the Drawtober 2020 Challenge. I found my colour inks! But I'm enjoying the chinese brush and ink stick, so I'm continuing with that for now. Here's our two masked men from my favourite cdramas. :D I added a slight digital tint in one area, just 'cause. *g*

Content Notes: I knew I wanted to draw Wei Wuxian from the Untamed for the moon prompt.I wanted to draw him in a fusion style of both the animation and the drama.In the end I went with his red eyes and hairstyle from the animation and the costume from the drama. :D
