Hi everyone. September's another Amnesty month, in which you can catch up with any past challenges that take your fancy. Here's the list of past challenges.

September is also the time to post about your plans and ideas for Inktober or any other challenge you want to take part in. Here's the "official" 2019 Inktober prompt list. But you don't have to stick to the official list - the idea is just to do a drawing a day if you can, or at least do a few drawings across several days in October. Here's an alternative - a random prompt generator. You can hit it until something you like pops up, and it's good for practising getting into the swing of drawing regularly again before October. Here's a video by a youtube artist about how he prepares for Inktober - he does a fairly purist version of the challenge, though, and you can vary it however you want.

October will as usual be for posting links to any works you do for Inktober or Spooktober etc., with a wrap-up masterpost at the end of October.

Have fun!

I'm planning to do Inktober this year for the first time - I'm more familiar with painting and pencil drawing, but I've tried to branch out recently - but we'll see if I actually manage it since I'm rubbish at challenges where you have to do something every day.

Yeah, I never did a drawing a day in the past two rounds. Currently I'm shooting for one every two-three days. That takes the pressure of but still produces a nice body of work to be proud of at the end.

I found the video pretty helpful. I tidied my space and gathered all my supplies, so I'm good to go. I already started some ink pieces to get comfortable again with the medium.

Oh, I remember your card idea now. I don't know if I'll do that, but I think at least some pieces could be cards...

My preparations for Inktober are still ongoing... I'm going to use my Fude nib fountain pen again this year, and I'm going to use my own list of prompts - but it seems like I don't have any white ink... I just found out that the bottle I still had is dried out, and I was a bit unhappy with last year's white ink pen, so it seems like I'll have to go out and buy some ink riiiiight now... Emergency white ink, LOL
