Today's the last day of July, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you this past month?

Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in July, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

Also, just a reminder that the Round-Up post for Drawing Challenge #26: Flying Creature Design will go up this upcoming weekend has now been extended to Saturday 31st August.

Since the school term finished 3 weeks ago, I've been busy with RL stuff and haven't even picked up a pencil.

But I do have an idea for the Flying Creature challenge that I'm hoping to sketch out over the weekend and post.

I haven't been able to really get back to my fandom art. But I found a really cool prompt list for July on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/BzQaVM5g5rx/), so I put a spread in my bullet journal as a way to do a little bit of art every day. I really enjoyed it and I think most of them turned out okay. Ish.

I'm hoping to have more time for more art, at some point. But August does not look like the month for it. So I'm going to continue doing my daily doodle-a-day prompt and see how things go.

Your doodles look great! Journals or sketchbooks are always so impressive when you see lots of artworks set out like that. Have fun with the rest of the prompts!

Thanks! Yes, it's so fun having a blank spread of the boxes and slowly filling them up. And extremely satisfying when it's complete. :)

I've been totally hammered by RL work deadlines, feels like for a few months now, and it'll continue for a couple more weeks at the present level.
Nonetheless I will do flying creature art in some of my breaks from a big RL betaing task I have this weekend!
I wish work was less frantic - getting really fed up with not having the time or energy to art and write regularly, damn it. Grrr.

I feel you, I've not been able to really attempt anything beyond my mini doodles. Good luck with the flying creature art! I look forward to seeing it. :)
