Today's the last day of the month, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you?

Did you get a chance to take part in any fandom activities in February, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, etc.

I might not make the Round-Up deadline for the Fantasy Reversal, but have a 4-day weekend starting this Saturday. So I'm planning to hit the last two challenges over the weekend, by Finishing a WiP involving a real-world character, through adding colour and a Fantasy element to it.

So looking forward to that! :)

In the mean time, I am still in the depths of Guardian fandom, reading fic and consuming ALL THE FANWORKS.

mekare is churning out tons of art for the show, so I am living vicariously through her, fanart-wise. *g*

I think it's recognising that doing creative things is good for my brain and I need to make time for it

MOst definitely! I have to keep reminding myself to make time for these things. Creating is just as important to my well-being as other RL necessities.

Partner has been doing 28 Plays Later, writing an entire play every day of February. I figured if he can do that, I can do a couple of fandom challenges.

I made 2 custom emoji for a Discord server. I took the line art from another project that I spent a lot of time banging my head against.

I posted about my emoji and works in progress here on my journal.

I also drew a cryptid version of Jeeves here.

In both of the Jeeves and Wooster drawings I photographed them instead of scanning to soften the brightness of the paper. I want to do a few more creepy Jeeves and Wooster drawings in the same medium/style as the cryptid one, but I only have one idea so far.

As for goals, I've got a couple of projects that I am mucking about with, but they feel pretty out of my reach for now.

Aww, sometimes life just comes at us, and there's never enough hours in a day.

We have lots of other community challenges in the months ahead though, so you can always jump in whenever you're up to it. :)

For the love of all that is dear to you STAY AWAY FROM GUARDIAN! I have been possessed and it's too late for me BUT YOU CAN STILL SAVE YOURSELF! It started in January but has only picked up since then.

Seriously, I don't think I've ever had a month where I did so much art (except maybe for Inktober). The main pairing (canon!) of the show has eaten my brain and filled my sketch book.

I've been pretty busy with RL work plus other deadlines, but managed to finish an artwork for the Fantasy Reversal challenge here, only a little late. Plus Buddies, the WIP unfolding pic for Romancing McShep that I've been posting in several parts over on my journal.
Also an SGA AO3 post with drawings of John and Rodney as Victorian gentlemen (vampires), a Venom NSFW pic of Eddie in Shibari rope bondage (back view only!), and a fic in the Captain America fandom.
I wanted to write a couple of stories for the SGA Valentine's Day challenges, but things got too hectic - hope to manage them later. And I did a couple of artworks for the Captain America Reverse Big Bang, but those are still secret!
