Date: 2019-02-16 10:03 am (UTC)One thing to mention is that science fiction is a different genre from fantasy, so sci-fi can be used as a "real world" option here - e.g. shows like Star Trek and Stargate, as long as they don't inherently contain magic/magical creatures. Fantasying up sci-fi fandom characters or settings is always fun - I can think of at least two fandom sci-fi characters with very pointy ears!

(My current fandom obsession, Guardian, has human-looking people in it, but it's based on a supposed non-Earth world.)
