Title: Inktober Week 4 Summary
Artist:
mific
Rating: G
Fandoms: SGA, Die Hard, and due South (and kind of The Addams Family)
Characters/Pairings: Teyla Emmagan, Rodney McKay/John Sheppard, Ronon Dex, John McClane, Benton Fraser/Ray Kowalski
Content Notes: Experimenting some more this past week, after getting myself some new watercolour paints. The two due South pics aren't pure traditional artworks as I layered the inking on top of more complicated watercolour backgrounds using Photoshop, but I'm counting the inked parts for the challenge anyway. Only 4 works - 5 if I include the tossed off blind drawing of John McClane - but some of them were detailed and took more than one day. I had fun in the due South ones experimenting with watercolour techniques I'd seen on youtube - using salt crystals and paint splatter for the Milky Way stars. I found ordinary table salt worked better than coarse salt as I wanted a fine-grain mass of stars. For the Freefall one I used very wet paper and let the paint run.
Three more pics to go, just when work's exploding on me, damn.
