It's just after the end of October, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you since August? (having just realised we haven't had a check-in post for a while, oops, sorry!)
Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in the past three months, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you looking at a bunch of end-of-year deadlines? Feel free to share upcoming art challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on. There's probably been a lot happening since it's been a while since we did this, so feel free just to give us the highlights!

Date: 2025-11-02 04:45 pm (UTC)I participated in the 10 items or less AO3 gift exchange (for rarepairs with less than 10 works on the Archive). I drew Kim Hee Sung and Eugene Choi from the K-drama Mr. Sunshine as a couple, horseback riding. It was a challenge, as I had not drawn men in years (I usually draw women, furries, and the occassional mech), but it was an engaging one!

As for personal projects, I've been absurdly busy lately, but I have been recharging with a personal project — drawing Sonic and Zelda's wedding!
Sonic and Zelda's wedding (WIP)
In truth I see their relationship as more of a long-distance thing, but I thought it was too cute of a concept not to draw. It's inspired by a Twitter trend where people draw their OTPs in the same pose as in a piece of wedding clipart. (I am not on Twitter, but one artist I'm a fan of is, and she regularly draws her OTP with various poses from these trends. Her work that inspired it is linked in my post.)
