tarlanx: Spiced latte style drink in a glass (TV - Merlin 2)
[personal profile] tarlanx posting in [community profile] drawesome
These are so dreadful I nearly decided not to post at all. As it is I've just put up small versions so everyone can look away fast. I haven't drawn anything on paper in 20 years, but at least there is always a chance I can improve... if I ever find more than a few minutes to spare. I spent about 15 mins on the first using the prompt SWIFT - because I did it so fast. All rest were done in 2-3 minutes tops with minutes to spare before I had to go bed - or midnight! Oh, the irony!

Day 1: swift, Day 2: divided, Day 3: poison, Day 4: underwater, Day 5: long, Day 6: sword, Day 7: shy

For 2 minute doodles they are looking good! :D It would be nice to see what you'd come up with if you had a bit more time.

You did the first one in 15 minutes? Are you kidding, that's awesome! I usually take an hour to do a portrait like that. These are all great speed drawings!

Also, I love that you used the prompt "swift" for a timed drawing. I'm thinking of using the "blind" prompt (day 24) in a similar way - no looking down at the paper while drawing. *g*

I agree, if you don't have much time, speed drawing is the way to go and yours are e very good start for someone who hasn't drawn for so long!

Ho, the "blind" prompt is a great idea! It rarely turns out good, but it's great fun to do and forces to go for simpler lines (or even for a "single line" drawing) in order not to loose the place!

Pretty good for brief doodles, and I love the gent in the first one - very distinguished! Also the last one’s very cute!

These are nifty, evocative, and illuminate the prompts awesomely. Thank you so much for sharing them with us!

Hey, high-five for posting even if you weren't so sure about it! I really like the first portrait (and I'm impressed that this is supposed to be a swift drawing!). The treasure under the sea is very evocative. Even if they are speed drawing, they have shading - so good on you! I forgot/didn't care about shading for years.
