Just because I want to tell someone (and you and I have commented with each other, in the past), the pie flavors are meant to be:

huckleberry (or blackberry, in a pinch),

rhubarb,

pumpkin,

lemon meringue,

apple, and

dried nectarine struesel

I haven't made or eaten any of them in quite a while, but they are all good memories!

I was going to try to guess.

I started mulberry, rhubarb I got right, then I fell down and lost confidence because I saw the pumpkin, and then couldn't work out what the last one was - I would never have guessed.

I now desperately need a gluten free recipe for that dried nectarine struesel.

On the possibly-brighter side, I do still have the cookbook that inspired the nectarine struesel pie—would you like me to scan the recipe for you?

The original recipe uses apricots, instead of nectarines, and is not gluten free—it calls for (default=made from wheat) flour in both the crust and the struesel topping.

I've never tried to bake gluten-free pastry—do you know if that's...feasible? (I have tried to make gluten-free tortillas, and I remember them being quite...brittle.)

I'd guess that a gluten-free variety of flour could work OK in the topping, since it's meant to be crumbly. So, maybe you could make nectarine crisp, instead of pie, keeping the fruit and the (suitably modfied) topping, but omitting the crust?

FYI, the cookbook that holds the recipe is called The Enchanted Broccoli Forest, and it's by Mollie Katzen. It was published in Berkeley in 1982, and it looks it—all hand-lettered!
