Today's the last day of July, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you this past month?

Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in July, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming art challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

NB: A Round-Up of art entries for the 10 Year Redraw challenge will be posted today, and a new monthly challenge will be issued later this week. :)

I amassed a buttload of projects not all of them art) for July, many of which are still in progress.
I took part in a cdrama exchange and just posted my assignment on the deadline of the 31st. Reveals are on the 8th.

multifandomdoodle had great prompts as always and this year I managed to sign up in time. (Btw, could we reintroduce the noticeboard once a month for members to post about art challenges elsewhere? Or else just remind everyone that everybody can post about challenges looking for artists.)

My own contribution: Star Trek Discovery art

I still want to the ten year redraw, but right now I‘m working on my next cdrama assignment due on the 10th. Luckily I have a rough sketch that I‘m happy with. Now refining and filling in details.

I'm doing the reverse-WIP BB, but having modded a reversebang in the past, I'm not sure the mods know quite what they're taking on. I mean, if you have 20 artworks that no one picked to write for or 20 pinch hits needing fics, that's a big pressure on the mods! Unless they just let there be multiple gaps but that might mean people are reluctant to ever do it again. I'm uncertain about whether to take on any of the main WIPBB fics that need art currently re not getting too overloaded. And none really appeal to me. Will see.

Oh yes, I saw that they were trying to do that this year. In general Reverse Big Bang can be harder for the participants I feel. In a fic you make art for there are a lot of options: just doing a single scene or character, coverart etc. but writing for one image only? Possibly harder.

Life has been chaotic for a while. I've been making excuses constantly for not getting much art posted and always telling myself "tomorrow" and then still not doing anything.

I've mainly done the >10 year later redraw challenge this month, plus two works for multifandomdoodle:
Family (Scavenger's Reigh), and Patient Dogs Menaced by an Asshole (Original art, prompter wanted dogs). Plus a lot of writing for a yet to be revealed due South Big Bang work. :D
