Today's the last day of May, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you this past month?

Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in May, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming art challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

Another busy month, but I was glad that I managed to catch up on the last 2 Drawesome challenges:

- Timed Figure Drawing Practice 1 (for the No Erase challenge)
- Timed Poses #3, Mermaid Edition (for the MerMay challenge)

I was inspired by all the excellent 'No Erase' artworks being posted to the comm from the previous challenge, to finally start making myself get some practice in quick 1-minute and 2-minute figure drawing.

They have turned out to be both easier and harder to do. Easier in that I can somehow produce almost a dozen figures in less than 30 minutes, but also harder, because it feels like there's never enough time to figure out the angles and proportions, much less get them to look right in just a few strokes.

I'm hoping to continue doing these kind of timed sessions at least twice a week for the next couple months, with the end goal of improving my overall figure drawing skills.

I know what you mean. The perfectionist in me is always having trouble with that aspect of timed practice as well.

I LOVED the no erase challenge and will continue to practice in ink without pencil sketches. I really liked you varied poses, tey all looked good to me, some of those were pretty challenging!
