Ooooh! I love the stars you did, that's gorgeous.

Thank you. It was a little bit of a cheat using a 'star brush' but then I played around to get the color and more sparkle.

Rodneyyy!

I have to say, I'm just really drawn to the draft copy! The impressionist style of the early version really captures his Rodney...ness. Something about the soft hairline and chin, and the blue of his eyes, and the watery-like background. Love it! *g*

I thought I'd include the 'draft' as it had its own quality. I nearly left it alone at that point but decided I wanted something a little more... defined... but I quite liked the softer version too :)

Both are very lovely! In the first one the background matches perfectly the eyes and the t-shirt. And the in the second one the background looks very nice, like stars or fireworks.

Thank you! I must have done that first draft background subconsciously as I never really realized it did until you pointed it out :) It is actually a huge spiral... but then I decided I wanted a more 'space'-like background when I worked on the final draft.

Hehe, that happens to me too sometimes. It's strange to see things in your artwork that you weren't aware of at the time. :-)
