Content Notes: This was an experiment! Pencil underdrawing, then Derwent Inktense coloring pencil (Chinese Ink 2030) and Chili Red 0500) activated with water + brush, and then watercolor for the yellows (Daniel Smith Hansa Yellow Medium, PY97). I think the Derwent Inktense does go dark enough (with water) that I could use the gold mica paste on top, just, glitter is also impossible to photography. XD

Thank you! I grew up with ginkos in S. Korea so I was feeling a bit nostalgic. :3

I remember we had a huge ginko tree next to our old school building. I loved collecting the yellow leaves in autumn.

Intense is an interesting media, a bit confusing in the pencils because the colour the pencil lays down is different from the colour when it's wet. Love the ginko crown!

Yes! I remember when I messed around with Faber-Castell watercolor pencils in high school, I learned rapidly that I had to swatch the colors before adding water because of the color transformation!

I was buying them in S. Korea, so they came with the German names on them (I think I've seen U.S. market versions with English names?) and because this was before I had taken any German, I was very confused by "Fleisch hell" because I didn't realize "hell" = "light" (in value). XD

And thank you! Ginkgos are everywhere in South Korea/Seoul where I spent part of my childhood, and I miss them. (I'm in Louisiana, USA now - no gingkos in my area!)

Thank you! I grew up with ginkos in S. Korea, so I was feeling nostalgic. The autumn foliage in Korea is truly beautiful - I like to imagine Korean elves. :)
