Content Notes: Created for Challenge #46 - Scribble Art. Digital pen drawing, using a screencap from KinnPorsche as a semi-transparent layer. Having a tracing reference meant that I could just go to town with scribbling the values, which was so much fun! :D

Thanks! At first I didn't think the scribble style would have suited such a moment, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. :)

Oooh you already did it! What a nice surprise. And you are right it works really well for such a tender moment. Did you erase the outline or did you work directly on the reference (wih transparent paper in between)?

I tried it on Adobe Fresco, so it's a digital art piece. :D

I used two layers. The under layer was the screencap, which I set to a low opacity. And then I drew with a digital pen on the upper layer, so what you see here is just the upper layer.

Yay! Good luck! :D I found that using a transparent layer (or tracing paper like mekare did) definitely helps with sorting out the various shadows and highlights, and is a great way to get comfortable with the technique.

And thanks so much for suggesting we try these different ways of drawing at the comm. This one turned out to be such an interesting challenge!
