Content Notes: For the Counterculture Creature challenege, I wanted to use a creature that was local to my area of the UK, a tricksy Simonside Dwarf, mainly associated with the Simonside Hills in Northumberland. These dwarves would lead travellers astray, especially after dark, and then disappear at dawn leaving them stranded. I wanted to turn that around and have my dwarf be a tour guide, carrying a tour sign instead of a lit torch and with a feather in his hat as a callback to the original legend.
