It's that time of year again, folks! We had an amazing run last year. Good luck to all our Inktober participants this year! \o/

INKTOBER starts on Monday 1st October, 2018
and ends on Wednesday 31st October, 2018.

What is Inktober?

Inktober is an annual drawing challenge that has grown in popularity in the last few years. Participants attempt to create ink drawings every day, from October 1st to 31st, and post them online on social media - so, 31 drawings in 31 days.

Do Digital drawings count?

Yes. While attempting ink drawing by hand for this month's challenge at

drawesome is encouraged, it is not mandatory. So using the digital pen tool to create a visual effect similar to that of a traditional ink pen would be fine.

Some Guidelines:

Frequency - A drawing can be created either daily, every few days, or weekly over the course of October. Go at whatever pace suits you best. :)
Medium - Drawings should be done in ink, however pencils can be used first. Ink can be applied with a pen, marker or paintbrush.
Prompts - The official 2018 Inktober list of prompts can be found here. As an alternative, we've created our own list this year:

However, you are not restricted by either of these. You can use any other Prompt List that you wish (eg. inktoberprompts, some other Inktober lists), or create drawings randomly without using any particular list at all.
Posting Options:
- Daily - You can Reply in the Comments Section of this post, with links to your individual/daily drawings.
- Weekly - You can Post an Art Entry at the community, with a compilation of your drawings on a weekly basis.

No problem! If you're looking for something else to inspire your creativity, we have lots of on-going Community Challenges to choose from.

I'm not using any prompts, just drawing fanart from various fandoms where I haven't been so good at drawing fanart (or doing any kind of fanworks) for.

Bending the rules since this is a mix of ink and paint-marker, I meant to do something more polished which the frog was just a study for the design of, but I was too tired to do more than this study last night.

Tried this one with a regular black pen today:

I'm actually enjoying using various fandoms as backdrops for these prompts. It's giving me the chance to focus on details of the scenery, costuming, etc. rather the characters themselves (which is where I usually end up spending most of my time and energy for fanart).
