Content Notes: This is a work-in-progress for Challenge #70 (MerMay & Marine). Digital drawing using Adobe Fresco.

I started off by using poses from this Youtube video for a 10-minute gesture drawing exercise. I selected 3 of the figures for the mermaids, then used the gesture line along one of the legs as a guide for how to sweep the curve of the fish tail.

And here's my current progress on the 3 mermaids. I added some more details to the upper half of their bodies, and a splash of colour in the background...

Thank you! The timed poses themselves were great, and really gave me something interesting to work with for the movement of the merfolk. :D
