drawesomeThis is pretty last minute, but if you have a chance (and are able to), do check out at least the first 15 minutes of this film which is now being screened online by the Japanese Film Festival Online (elisheva_m posted everything about it here ). I haven‘t even finished watching, but the first bit has a live sumi-e painting and glimpse of a sumi-e workshop which I found fascinating to watch. All the different brush shapes and the way the ink was used was very inspiring!
Some of the films aren’t available in all regions, though this one was for me at least. You need to make a free account with an email address and then you can watch for free until the 18th!
