Content Notes: This is my second entry for Challenge #63: Let's Move. Digital drawing of another performer from that night, this time one of the guys dancing. This was a sharper, stompier, less flowy dance. So my approach for this piece was to start with sketchy gesture lines, but then to focus more on lighting and the pull of the fabric to bring the feel of movement. :)

Oooh, I love this - the rough/varied lines really give it a gestural sense. I remember the epiphany when Erika Lancaster explained to me that line width/line smoothness vs. roughness IS part of a line's expression when she was telling me to use a regular pencil and stop relying on mechanical pencils. :D :D :D I feel like the dancer's about to soar away. :D
