Today's the last day of August, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you this past month?

Feel free to share upcoming art challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

ANNOUNCEMENT: ART CHALLENGE EXTENSION

It's been a packed month for many of us, so we're extending our current drawing challenge - Word Prompt: Freedom - for another two weeks.

The new round-up post for submissions to this challenge will be on Sunday 17th September, 2023.

I’ve been busier with art this month, although most is for the due South big bang so won't be revealed till Oct.
I also did 5 illustrations for the WIP big bang (a Jane Austen x Temeraire crossover) and the fic and art chapters are being revealed weekly - To the Rigor of Service. Main problem with all the arting is pins and needles in my hands. :-(

Thank you for the extension! I *just* got back to working on my Grace piece which will be my entry for this challenge.

I had a long holiday this month, so I signed up for tree challenges and did a couple of extra pieces:

a full body portrait on toned paper for everywoman exchange (Star Trek Voyager)

a Tang dynasty watercolour piece for the Pingxie exchange (pingxieex) (DMBJ)

a portrait with a horse for Sleuth of Ming Dynasty

an ink piece for Sleuth of Ming dynasty

a graphic for Sleuth of Ming Dynasty

a femslash watercolour piece for wipbigbang (Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries)

This time I really signed up for too many things (again…), but I‘ll try to remember to limit myself to two parallel events. ;-)

Hey - I am new here, but happy to be a part of this group none the less! :)

last night was the first night in months I painted with my water color paints, which felt wonderful. I'm going to finish my piece tonight.

And I am working on my comic still - I am on chapter 9! It is also a wonderful feeling and a sense of accomplishment.

I look forward to joining in the Art Challenges in the future!
