Today's the last day of February, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you this past month?

Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in February, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming art challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

I have really loved the body diversity challenge and I had 2 more drawings to do but alas my computer has to go to the computer hospital. But I can’t wait for next month!

I really enjoyed this month's challenge, though the month felt SO short. Wish I'd have had a little bit more time to tackle a second piece. I have another fantastic reference piece to work from, so I might tackle it in the weeks ahead if I get a chance.

This week, I managed to recover space on my work desk at home, so am hoping to get back into doing traditional artworks. I really like making digital art, but I do miss painting irl.

I've also started teaching myself to do Chinese brush painting, and tried my first lesson over the weekend. Am absolutely delighted by the results, and am looking forward to delving more into this technique in March. ^__^

The month*was* very short! I always forget that February is the shortest month of the year, and suddenly it‘s over.

I enjoyed your posts about the desk cleaning and the Chinese brush paintings a lot! Your challenge entry was very beautiful.

Apart from my challenge pieces I‘ve been finally finishing off my Mindful Watercolor Skillshare class (Zen Stones, Nest).

I also did three ink sketches for DMBJ and coloured an ink piece from January. I had that 80% finished, but the values were off. I‘ll post it soon, maybe even with before and after version to get some feedback.

Lastly, I have invented a challenge for DMBJ fandom and pulled it together in about two days with some brainstorming and support on Discord. I made a banner and promo posts., and entered two artworks (Xiaoge.mp3 and Second entry). Oh and I made my first fandom map! It‘s in the same post as the second entry.

I also did a graphic on a day I felt particularly anxious.

Mostly personal stuff, but I signed up for a few exchange events and I'll start working on my gifts for them.

Despite a lot of personal upset from the downpours, flooding, and cyclone here in NZ I did some art. Most were made before all the drama and having to move house, although I did Like a Fish Needs a Bicycle partly in a power outage. Apart from that one for the body diversity challenge, I was involved in some Valentines Day-related challenges.
