Today's the last day of April, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you this past month?

Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in April, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming art challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

Reminder: A Round-Up for the Gijinka Challenge will be posted later this weekend. :)

lol y'all, seriously, where did April go? /o\

I didn't get a chance to do any further work on my Gijinka idea since last month, but I'm thinking of just posting it as a quick concept sketch, like eye_of_toad did.

Hopefully May will be more productive art-wise.

April was a good month for art! :)

I drew some ATCs using an art box with random material.
A mermaid and some fishies.
A dancing couple.
A pianist in a greenhouse.

Also, some botanical sketches happened.
Magnolia, tulip, and trillium.
Unknown hedge with pretty blooms.

Considering how busy the month was, it's surprising that anything artistic happened at all - but I was motivated! :D

I did it!!! I finished my WoH exchange piece in time. Hooray!

Now the next deadline is looming. Why did I do this to myself? I need to stop myself from signing up for back to back exchanges this year. Especially because I have so many other art bunnies that want to be finished. ack.

I finished my Guild Wars 2 comic last night. I don't regret staying up so late to finish the project. I am totally young enough to do that to my sleep schedule.

I also did a Leverage piece for MerMay that I will release onto the tumblrs tomorrow.

I've also been doing a big re-org and de-stash of my art supplies that has made me feel a lot more organized. I am posting about it on my stashdown tag if you want to see me talk about all my pens and markers and paper and stuff.

Apart from the gijinkas, I resumed doing my Stargate Tarot after a break and did two court cards. King and Queen of Arms
Also did some OFMD art for my latest fannish crush. Plus posted some very explicit illustrations for stories about an unpleasant narcissist (Tom Ripley - heed the warnings) for smallfandomsbigbang. But mostly I've been podficcing or working on the Audiofic Archive this last month.

A little late commenting, sorry. I did explore some of the old challenges and completed two, and acquired some paints to play with, although I haven't used them yet. Is it OK to use one post to share two challenges, or is it preferred to have them shared as separate posts?
