Today's the last day of June, and we'd love to have you check in and chat with us. How have things been with you this past month?

Did you sign up for or take part in any fandom activities in June, or have you been working on any personal art projects? Are you currently trying to meet a deadline? Feel free to share upcoming art challenges that have got you excited, any frustrations you've been experiencing, possible goals for the next month, and so on.

Man, how is it the end of June already?? I feel like the month only just started. /o\

I managed a couple drawings for the Draw What You See challenge. It actually felt good to get back into doing traditional sketches with a physical pen and pencil, since I'd been doing a lot more digital drawing recently.

I enjoyed the stress-free nature of this challenge, in that I didn't feel the need to replicate things exactly, but allowed myself to draw loosely, and focused on capturing an impression rather than going for accuracy.

This week, I signed up for the wipbigbang challenge, and am quite pleased with my assignment. I have vacation time coming up pretty soon, so I plan on working on my artwork for this challenge over the next few weeks. :)

I also opened an account (username: goss) at squidge.org and neocities.org. So am looking forward to playing around with building an art gallery and maybe putting up some of my more recent art and process vids.

I wanted to draw a Pride themed artwork but it's nowhere near done. If/when I finish it I'll figure out what to do with it.

I'm also happy with my assignment in wipbigbang, yay! Drawing when you have to be sitting somewhere anyway is an excellent idea.

Another quiet month for me on the fandom front, but I did manage a 'draw what you see' artwork, and also a story to meet my Into-a-bar crossover challenge deadline. Oh, plus a fluffy McShep chibis pic for Pride month. I've had a big external deadline to meet related to my past job, which ends Monday, so I'll have a lot more time after that.

June was full of fandom activities, but not a lot of them art. Plus work was really busy.

I did a piece for a challenge which will hopefully be revealed tomorrow (the deadline was extended for some other people in the exchange).

I signed up for a couple of other exchanges on a whim and have three art pieces to work on in July: everywoman, pingxieex, and wipbigbang. Luckily I have ideas for all three already.

And here are two WIPs I did recently which will be relegated to the sidelines while I work on my exchanges.

I'm in the process of posting highlights from old sketchbooks. And for some reason it popped into my head to check on the handful of drawings I have on AO3 and discovered I had several broken links. (I forgot I had posted some art on AO3 using Pillowfort as the image host and I don't even know if my Pillowfort account exists anymore. I never remember to check in there.) So I'm feeling semi-accomplished.

I signed up for the wipbigbang and am equal parts excited and worried that I won't come up with something good enough in time.
