She's not a Dutchman, nor is she flying. There are other ghost ships sailing on the sea, and they all have their stories. I think I kind of got a scrimshaw vibe going on here in some ways. This liminal ship, sailing on the edge of wave and atmosphere, of reality and unreality was based on a ship I saw in Finland, a lovely full rigged ship. The russet ink in the Conklin ran out yesterday, so I cleaned it an put the J Herbin Vert Reseda in, very pretty. But I forgot to clean the lid out, so some of it is a mix between the two.
