Summary: After searching for the Hand of Franklin Fraser stays in Canada, taking a post in the Yukon. Ray returns to the 27th precinct. But as weeks become months, each of them feels increasingly restless and incomplete. Something is missing and they find their thoughts turning to that great adventure when, despite the cold, the long days, the limited food, they'd been happy.
