For our 8th challenge:

Create a drawing using your Non-Dominant Hand.

So if you usually draw with your right hand, this time give it a try using your left hand. Or vice versa.

A round-up post for submissions to this challenge will be done on Sunday 24th September, 2017.

Ha ha this should be interesting - when I was a kid I used to practice drawing with my left hand but I haven't done that for a very long time!

I tried it once or twice in the past, but it's been quite a long time since then.

I guess it's one of those drawing exercises that teaches you to let go of the perfectionist mentality and appreciate a work for its own unique merits.

hehe, I tried drawing a passionfruit as a preliminary exercise and immediately noticed that my usual style doesn't work at all with my left hand. Will do a pastel version today.
I'm loving how many quick responses there are already to this challenge!

Maybe try doing a squash instead! (Grins)

I considered it but stuck with the passion fruit because the colours were too lovely to resist :-)

I am loving the quick responses to the challenge as well! It's got me all excited to try my hand at it this weekend.

And you know, I think it's kind of cool when you say that your usual style doesn't work with your non-dominant hand, and you're gonna change things up a bit. That means whatever you produce won't just be a "lesser" version of the original, but something unique onto itself. That is awesome. :)
