Neal in Ancient Greece -- challenge #34 (toned paper)
Title: Neal Caffrey in Ancient Greece
Artist:
minoanmiss
Rating: PG for outfit
Fandom: White Collar / Ancient Greece
Characters/Pairings: Neal Caffrey
Content Notes: sketched by hand, tinted and finished in Paintbrush.
Again with the contrapposto pose I found so fetching.
First try:

The background had too much color so I went with this instead:

I may replace this flat background with a colorless gray ombre yet.
ETA the second image 'thumbnail' keeps showing up much too dark, so please click through to view the actual image.

Oh - I just saw the click through bit, and yes, I like that grayscale image the best of them, with the softer gray. Nice work!

firstsecond entry for the challenge! (heh, I just saw mific's) This pose turned out great - there's so much personality in the body language.I like the soft atmosphere in the first one, but also how the darker skin in the second one, coupled with a dark background, makes the lighter clothing pop!

(and it's so weird that the image compression completely changed your shading?)
