This is a portrayal of the, in Australia, notorious Cane Toad, here drawn much larger than life. This amphibian was introduced as a biological control for sugar can pests in Queensland. However, it turned out Cane Toads liked eating all the native wildlife and anything else it could get its mouth around. They breed and breed and breed, and they are quite the menace. As will all toads though, they have lovely eyes.
Both my Pelikan Twists got a workout with a pair of Eidelstone inks. Garnet and Malachite or something like that.
I'm not feeling super great emotionally today and am quite tired from getting up early. Mostly drawn in the waiting room waiting for my blood to be drawn for the PICABOO study.

A gorgeous drawing of an ecological menace.
