Admin Post: Drawing Challenge #63 - Let's MOVE!

Challenge #63: Let's MOVE!

There's been recent discussion in the comm about gesture drawing, figure drawing, and line of action. So I thought this month's challenge could be about drawing or painting movement. To make it as inclusive as possible, the theme is any type of movement - a person, animal, bird, or fish moving, an object, like a thrown ball or spear, or something abstract that conveys movement just by lines on the page - anything moving.

Here's a link to yhlee's post about gesture drawing

And to some resources about capturing movement:

A round-up post for submissions to this challenge will be done at the end of March.

I know that capturing motion and movement is something I find quite a challenge, so let's have a go at it together!

Have fun, and happy drawing, everyone! :)

Hmm...I haven't much experience with drawing animals, so maybe this will be a good opportunity to get some practice with that. :)

That's still a bit out of my comfort zone, so thank you for the challenge and thank you for the resources! :D

Motion is definitely challenging! Dance East ( a local dance school and venue) had an open life drawing session with a visiting dance troupe and it was great fun but SO hard! I'll have to post some of my stuff from it (if I didn't already).
