I had plans for many studies, with variations of poses and maybe wearing rings, and . . . yeah. Time, not my friend.

Anyway, I did this with no erasing. It's fascinating to me, because I can tell where I couldn't get past symbolic thinking with my thumb. It was about a quarter turn up from being flat, but no matter how much I messed with it, I couldn't get the subtle contours of the turn.

Cool that you did this without any erasing - the proportions came out so well! Also, the use of shading really gives a good sense of depth inside the hand.

Excellent proportions, and there's a real sense of being able to feel the way the fingers are curling.

The finger knuckles look really natural.

I like the shading giving depth to the fingers. It's like looking into a little cave.

I had plans for many studies, with variations of poses and maybe wearing rings, and . . . yeah. Time, not my friend.

Ditto! I feel like I need to extend this challenge for another month because I think I could really benefit from it, but I still put it off all month and have only just started my sketches. Hands are so hard!

It's fascinating to me, because I can tell where I couldn't get past symbolic thinking with my thumb.

Brains are so fascinating.

Doing a hand with no erasing is impressive. The shading in the loose fist give it a lot of depth.

Thumbs are hard! Well fingers and thumbs, actually! You've done a good job!
