Challenge #35: Statue of the Mermaid Oracle

Content Notes: traditionally drawn fordrawesome's Counterculture Creature challenge. wuh, a charcoal pencil would've done better, but i had to make do with the blue colored pencil- i think it complements the piece with its sort of mysterious complexion since i was going for an oracular ambiance; the kind that radiates, "oh, speak with me, i provide prophetic predictions," except that it doesn't and instead, it lures in minor deities who are undergoing trials and gives warped predictions that can ultimately lead to their deaths if it were followed carelessly (which explains why the statue's head and hands are missing). :)
